DYING WOMAN:

. . . my back’s breakin’—lemme down!

KILLER:

Stop bossin’ me around alla time!

DYING WOMAN:

I’ll walk down the highway—walk barefoot down the highway ’cause NO WAY I’M GONNA BE THE NEXT MISSIN’ WOMAN, NO WAY.

KILLER:

Shut up.

DYING WOMAN:

I’m not shuttin’ up.

KILLER:

(blocking his ears) SHUT UP.

DYING WOMAN:

I’M NOT SHUTTIN’ UP EVER EVER EVER EVER!

SISTER:

(calls to her sister) The phone rang when I was in the bathtub and I leapt right up out of the water and ran into the living room completely naked—thank God the kids didn’t wander in . . . it was some jerk selling carpet cleaner. I wanted so bad for it to be you or someone saying they’d found you or something, just something!
